Theme Chinese Language of Jiangsu University

Jiangsu University’s main pointin foreign language teaching is the” Theme Chinese Language” program. Apartfrom the intense rich courses the” Theme Chinese Language” also provides a lotof cultural activities. “Theme Chinese Language” has 3 distinctive butinterrelated parts: First, following the assistance of the teachers in charge.Furthermore, the teachers will extend the cultural knowledge related to thechosen topic for the students. Every September, jiangsuuniversity overseas education college hold "First step on Chinese Languagebridge, feeling and experience colorful culture". Activity includes simpleChinese language teaching, and also includes the rich cultural experience, suchas making dumplings, practicing taiji.

2.Appreciation and Learning of Traditional Calligraphy

  In jiangsu university, after students finishstudying calligraphy, painting and related knowledge in class, they will learnthem under the guidance of zhenjiang elder’s painting and calligraphyassociation at regular intervals.

3.Appreciation and Learning of Peking Opera

4.Traditional Music Appreciation and Zither Learning

5.Appreciation and Learning of Traditional Paper cutting

Students visit art museum, participate in thepaper-cut activity. Professional artists teach students to cut "double redxi" "China dragon" "Chirping cock"

6.Learning of Taiji Art

Students learn the origin and genre of Taiji. Theyexperience it in person and experience profound Chinese philosophy.

7.Learning of Chinese Cuisine

 Students enjoy Chinese food, make Chinesecuisine, which creates a home environment.

8.Visit of Huaiyin Village

10. Closerto Lady White Snake- Trip to Hangzhou  

  Setting the theme as” To find the Lady WhiteSnake “, students go to Hangzhou for investigation study. And in the west lake,Lin Yin temple, Taizi bay and other scenic spots, they each use Chinese tointroduce places of interest.
