The Most Exciting 2014 International Cultural Festival-Part Ⅰ

Jiangsu University 4th International Cultural Festival organized by the Universal Hand-in-Hand Association and the student union of Jiangsu University both under the guidance of OEC successful took place on 24th May, 2014.

This year’s cultural festival was first of its kind in the history of Jiangsu University as it enabled a lot of students from various countries to display their classic and unique culture and was graced by notable personalities like, Jiangsu University Vice president, the Consul General of Ethiopia, the Deputy Consul General of India, the Secretary at the South Sudan Embassy, and deputy director of International office of Zhenjiang Municipal Government.

This year’s International cultural festival was well categorized in 4 different sessions:

1.Countries stage performance

2.Culture exhibition

3.Traditional food display

4.Meet the diplomats

The program was officially opened by the Vice president Li Hongbo of Jiangsu University at 9am and continued all day long. With several stage performances including dancing, singing, and drama  from different countries such as Pakistan, China, Congo, Ghana, South Korea, India, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Botswana, Madagascar, Burundi, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Sudan, Thailand, Uganda, U.S.A, Zambia and Ivory Coast. Countries like Canada, Poland, Germany, Nigeria, Vietnam, Ethiopia and Turkish could not perform on stage however; they displayed their traditional and unique food and also exhibited their cultural artifact.
