Overseas students of JU attend “Happy Jiangsu” Chinese Competition for Foreigners

June 10, 2 overseas students of Jiangsu University, Fanshi Jinyin (Chinese pinyin) from Vietnam and Ma Guang(Chinese pinyin) from Cameron attended “Happy Jiangsu” Chinese Competition for Foreigners jointly sponsored by the Department of Publicity of Jiangsu Party Committee and the Information Office of Jiangsu Provincial Government. Both students won good results in the competition. Fanshi won a second prize for an individual and a first prize for a group and Ma Guang a second prize for an individual and a third prize for a group.

       “Happy Jiangsu” Chinese Competition for Foreigners started its work of choosing competitors in March 2014. After meticulous selection, 18 competitors finally went on the stage for a final completion that comprises of four steps: individual speech, group quick response, group debate and impromptu speech. Both Fanshi and Ma were thought highly of by the judges for their excellent language competence, fluent speech and smart response on the stage.

       It is learned that this is the 2nd time that overseas students of JU have attended “Happy Jiangsu” Chinese Competition for Foreigners” and returned with honor after Li Li (Chinese Pinyin) from Cuba came out 3rd in Jiangsu Province in 2013.
